About the role You'll spearhead fundraising events and campaigns from concept through delivery, backed by support from The Peninsula Trust team, helping shape how we raise money and engage donors across the Rame Peninsula.

What you'll be doing

• Planning and leading fundraising events and campaigns, from initial idea to on-the-day delivery

• Coordinating other volunteers or helpers for fundraising activities

• Tracking fundraising performance and reporting back to the Trust team

• Working with our community engagement co-ordinator to promote campaigns through local networks and social media

Time commitment Flexible, subjective to your availability.

What we're looking for

• Confident taking initiative and leading an activity from start to finish

• Friendly, approachable, and comfortable talking to people about our work

• Organised, with good attention to detail

• Preferred: experience with fundraising, event management, or sales

• Preferred: confident with basic admin tools (spreadsheets, email)

About the role As a Cafe Volunteer, you'll help create a warm, inclusive space whether that's front of house, in the kitchen, or both.

What you'll be doing

• Welcoming visitors and taking orders

• Preparing and drinks (training provided)

• Keeping the cafe clean, tidy, and welcoming

• Handling till transactions and basic cash handling

• Supporting guests who may be isolated or vulnerable with a friendly chat

• Helping set up and pack down for cafe sessions

Time commitment Regular shifts, Mondays & Thursdays 10am – 1pm

What we're looking for

• A warm, patient, and non-judgemental manner

• Comfortable working as part of a small team in a busy environment

• Preferred: hospitality experience

About the role Our Community Food Growing project turns shared outdoor space into something the whole community can benefit from. Whether you're an experienced grower or a complete beginner, you'll help cultivate food, green space, and connection.

What you'll be doing

• Planting, weeding, watering, and general garden upkeep

• Helping harvest produce for the Community Kitchen and Larder

• Maintaining tools, beds, and communal growing areas

• Supporting garden sessions or workshops for other volunteers and visitors

• Helping plan what's grown each season

• Encouraging a welcoming, sociable atmosphere in the garden

Time commitment Flexible, seasonal — typically a few hours a week during growing season, with quieter periods in winter.

What we're looking for

• Enthusiasm for the outdoors — no experience necessary

• Able to do light physical work in all weathers

• Preferred: gardening, horticulture, or allotment experience

• Preferred: interest in sustainable or organic growing methods

What you'll gain Time outdoors, practical growing skills, fresh produce, and a hand in feeding the local community.

About the role The Peninsula Trust runs a busy calendar of community events, fundraisers, and celebrations. As an Events Support Volunteer, you'll be part of the team that makes these events happen smoothly, from first planning meeting to final clear-up.

What you'll be doing

• Setting up and dismantling event spaces, stalls, and equipment

• Welcoming and directing attendees on the day

• Supporting stallholders, performers, or speakers as needed

• Helping with on-the-day problem-solving

• Assisting with post-event tidying and feedback collection

Time commitment Flexible — mainly around specific events, including some evenings and weekends.

What we're looking for

• A can-do, flexible attitude and willingness to get stuck in

• Comfortable working as part of a team under time pressure

• Preferred: event planning or stewarding experience
